With over a decade at the helm of GLS, Mr. King's focus has been on spearheading new business development, operations management, and as CEO, he's led his team in securing a landmark 25-year concession, signifying his commitment to modernizing infrastructure and enhancing efficiency at Liberia's only international airport, Roberts International Airport (RIA). His companies are recognized for exceptional service delivery and innovative logistics solutions, establishing itself as a leader in the regional logistics sector. Mr. King is the primary strategist and leads the commercial team. He is responsible for maintaining a robust commercial pipeline, managing stakeholder and investor relationships, and driving the overall success of the organization. With over two decades of professional experience across a multitude of sectors, including strategic business consulting, energy commodities trading, shipping operations, international development, and policy formulation, Mr. Peter Malcolm King is a highly experienced and knowledgeable leader. He has held senior internal and external consultant roles for a range of esteemed organizations in Europe, the United States, and Africa. During his tenure at Linetrale, a then leading energy trading firm, He was responsible for expanding their business operations across the West African region and as head of commercial operations and business development, led the team that grew the company financial and operating performance from USD $67m turnover in 2007 to over USD $300M by 2010. Mr. King is a serial entrepreneur and has founded several companies including Monarch Capital, a private financial management and investment firm that serves as a financial services company and Excelsius Development Ltd, a commercial real estate property developer that is carving a niche in the West African luxury property development market. Mr. King currently serves as member on the boards of several organizations including chairing the boards of Liberia Inland Storage & Distribution Services Inc., (LISDIS), GLS Offshore Holdings Ltd (Mauritius), GLS Menzies (Aviation Handling Services), Buchanan Container Park Ltd and Monrovia Logistics Park Ltd. Over the past five years, Mr. King has led his team along with key international partners including InfraCo Africa, and invested more than US$25 million in infrastructure projects, such as the Roberts Air Cargo Logistics Centre (RACC) and the Inland Storage & Distribution Facility (ISDF) in Liberia. The company's next five-year strategic plan is to expand its logistics and transport infrastructure assets by approximately US$200 million. GLS has already invested heavily in various pipeline infrastructure projects, including an inland port project in Guinea, a multi-purpose logistics park in Alaro City, Lagos, and an export container handling facility in Liberia, totaling over US$75 million.
